There are a number of ways to restore your photos after you have deleted them, intentionally or accidentally, on your Samsung Galaxy S4. These methods include using software that is downloadable from the internet. Examples of such include the Jihosoft Android Phone Recovery and Android Data Recovery. The underlying process is the same for most.
- Recovery through software on computer
The steps are simple:
- Download the software online and connect the phone to your computer
Download the software from the internet. This requires an internet connection so Wi-Fi or data will be needed. Once you have downloaded the software the next thing is to install it on your computer. To do this, run the file on the computer. Check to see that the software has been installed successfully by opening it. Connect your phone to the computer via the USB cable.
- Do not use your S4 to take pictures and scan for deleted photos
After deleting your photos, do not take more pictures using your Samsung Galaxy S4. This could lead to date being overwritten and would lead to loss of the photos. Most of the photos are usually either stored on the internal memory or on the SD car. Scan the phone on your computer.
- Preview and restore the pictures
Check to see the photos that were deleted once the phone finishes scanning. Preview the photos and choose which ones you would like to restore back to the phone. After you have chosen the pictures that you would like restored, click on the ‘Restore’ button and voila! Your pictures are no longer deleted.
- Google synchronize
Google provides people with the opportunity to sync different accounts, including saving your data such as photos and videos as a backup. In case you delete your photos and you have to retrieve them, then all you would have to do is to log into your account and retrieve the photos then save them on your phone once again. This method works for other features such as phone contacts as well.
- The Cloud
Cloud offers storage space for different files. The space available is usually a lot and quite hard to fill. If you have a cloud account that you have used to save your photos before, then it is easy to retrieve them. All you have to do is access your cloud information and download the photos onto your phone. They will not appear in their original SD card or internal memory storage but they will be on your phone.
It is advisable to have storage for your files. It is even better to back up your photos and videos on your computer as it provides for restoration in case anything happens to your handset. However, if you have not backed up your photos and you delete them by mistake then you are still able to restore them by using software on your computer to get them back.
